ORDINANCE NO. 13,991
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR ARCHITECTURAL
AND ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE RIVERFRONT
PARK PROJECT; APPROPRIATING $165,000 FROM THE
1977 CAPITOL IMPROVEMENTS FUND TO BE USED FOR
ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR
THE RIVERFRONT PARK PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City has secured a $1,100,000 grant for
the development of the Riverfront Park Project; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation staff has completed a
master plan for the park which was reviewed by the Board of
Directors at a recent agenda session; and
WHEREAS, the Staff has recommended that the Board of
Directors authorize the City Manager to enter into a
contract with Wittenberg, Delony & Davidson;
Witsell and Evans; and Hodges, Vines, Fox and Associates for
architectural and engineering services; and
WHEREAS, the phase of the project to be funded at this
time includes the preparation of plans and specifications
for an amount not to exceed $165,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
enter into a contract with Wittenberg, Delony & Davidson;
Witsell and Evans; and Hodges, Vines, Fox and Associates for
architectural and engineering services for the preparation
of plans for the Riverfront Park Project.
SECTION 2. $165,000 is hereby appropriated from the
1977 Capitol Improvement Fund to be used for architectural
and engineering services for the Riverfront Project.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
