AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE IN
AUTHORIZED POSITIONS FOR THE SANITATION
COLLECTION DIVISION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the 1980 operating budget provides for 136
positions in the Sanitation Collection Division; and
WHEREAS, the City's industrial engineering staff
reported in October 1979 that 143 positions would be
required to accommodate anticipated large annexations and
ongoing "island" annexations; and
WHEREAS, administrative action was taken to add the
required positions, but the budgeted personnel authorization
was not altered to reflect the increase.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION I. An increase in authorized positions for
the Sanitation Collection Division is hereby authorized to
include 144 positions.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
