AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRI'T'ORY TO MABELVALE-
ALEXANDER SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 142
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be a majority in value or
more in assessed value of real property located within the
territory hereinafter described have filed petitions praying
that all real property embraced within said territory be
annexed to Mabelvale- Alexander Sewer Improvement District
No. 142 of Little Rock, Arkansas, for the purposes
hereinafter set out and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board
of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard
all the parties desiring to be heard, has ascertained that
said petitions were signed by a majority in value or more in
assessed value of the owners of real property within said
territory sought to be annexed, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Directors of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. That there is hereby annexed to
Mabelvale- Alexander Sewer Improvement District No. 142 of
Little Rock, Arkansas, the following property located in the
County of Pulaski, State of Arkansas, to wit:
The South One -Half of Section 18, Township 1
South, Range 13 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Section
Eighteen (18), Township One South (T -1 -S), Range
Thirteen West (R -13 -W) for a point of beginning;
thence North along the West line of said Section
18 to the Northwest corner of the South One -Half
(S -1/2) of said Section 18; thence East to the
Northeast corner of the South One -Half (S -1/2) of
said Section 18; thence South to the Southeast
corner of said Section 18; thence West to the
Southwest corner of said Section Eighteen (18) and
the point of beginning.
All that part of Blocks 1, 2 and 16, Town of
Alexander, Arkansas, which lies in the Northwest
Quarter of Section 18, Township 1 South, Range 13
West.
for the purposes of constructing a sanitary sewer line
beyond the boundaries of the said sewer improvement district
and to the above described territory hereby annexed, and to
make the desired connection with the sanitary sewer
collection system of the described sewer district; said
purposes to be accomplished in the manner and of the
materials that the commissioners of the District shall deem
to be in the best interest of the District, and the cost
thereof to be assessed on the real property above described
according to the benefits received.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
