ORDINANCE NO. 13,835
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
LANDS TO THE'CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
AND MAKING SAME A PART OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
WHEREAS,a. petition was filed with the County Clerk of Pulaski
County, Arkansas by the owners of the hereinafter described lands
praying that said lands be annexed to and made a. part of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas: and
WHEREAS, on May 14, 1980 the County Court of Pulaski
County, Arkansas found that the petition was signed by a majority
of the total number of real property owners in said area proposed
to be annexed and by the owners of more than one -half of the acreage
of said area; that said lands are contiguous and adjoining the present
corporate limits of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; that an
accurate map of said lands had been filed with and made a part of
said petition; that proper notice had been given for the time and in
the manner prescribed by law; and that all things pertaining thereto
had been done in the manner prescribed by law and that said lands
should be annexed to and made a part of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, subject to acceptance of same by the Board of Directors of
said city at the proper time as provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the time fixed by law for appealing from said order of
annexation made by the Pulaski County Court has expired and no
appeal has been taken from said order.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The following described lands contiguous to and
adjoining the City of Little Rock, Arkansas be and same are hereby
accepted as part of and annexed to and made a part of the City of
Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas; to -wit:

NORTH TRACT: Part of Section 17 and part of the east half of
Section 18, all in T -1 -N, R -11 -W, Pulaski County, Arkansas and
being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point, said point being the intersection of the
center line of Fourche Bayou and the south line of the SW4,
SE-'4, Section 17, T -1 -N, R -11 -W, Pulaski County, Arkansas,
said point being on the present city limits of Little Rock,
Arkansas as established by Ordinance No. 12,406; thence West
along the southlines of the SW4, SE-14, the SE-4, and the SW-14,
SW-14 to a point on the south line of SW4, SW-14 that is on the
west right of way line of Bayard Street extended south from
Sander's Addition to the city of Little Rock, Arkansas, thence
north along the west right of way line of Bayard Street to a
point on the south line of the north three fourths of the N2,
SW-14, SW-14; thence west along the south line of the north three
fourths of the N2, SW-14, SW-14 to the west line of the SW-14,
SW-14; thence north along the west line of the SW-14, SW-14, and the
west line of the NW-4, SW-14 to a point on the north line of
the south three fourths of the S2, NW-14, SW-14; thence east along
the north line of the south three fourths of the S2, NW-14,
SW-14 to the east line of the NW-14, SW-14; thence north along the
east line of the NW-14, SW-14 to a point that is 323.8' south of
the northeast corner of the NW-14, SW-14; thence east 550' to a
point that is 323.8' south of the north line of the NE-14, SW4,
said point being 550' east of the northwest corner of the
NE4, SW-4, thence north 151.4' to a point that is 550' east of
the west line of the SE-14, NW-14; thence west 550' to a point on
the west line of the SE4, NW4 that is 151.4' north of the south-
west corner of the SE4, NW4; thence west 1037' to a point that
is 151.4' north of the south line of the SW-14, NW4; thence
north 211.4' to a point 310' east of the west line of the
SW-14, NW-4; thence west 310' to a point on the west line of the
SW4, NW4 that is 362.6' north of the southwest corner of the
SW-14, NW-14 all in section 17, T -1 -N, R -11 -W, Pulaski County,
Arkansas; thence west 300' to a. point that is 362.6' north
of the south line of the SE-14, NE-14, section 18, T -1 -N, R -11 -W,
Pulaski County, Arkansas; thence south 362.6' to the south
line of the SE-14, NE-14 to a point that is 300' west of the south-
east corner of the SE4, NE-14; thence west, along the south line
of the SE-14, NE-14, for 340' more or less to a point, said point
being the intersection of the south line of the SE4, NE-14- with
the west line of what was formerly platted as Block "2 ",
College Park Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas as
extended north; thence south along the west line of said Block
"2" as extended to a point on the northeasterly right of
way line of Jones Street as relocated; thence in a north-
westerly and northerly direction along the northeasterly
and easterly right of way line of Jones Street as relocated to
a point in the centerline of Fourche Creek; thence easterly
along the meanders of the centerline of Fourche Creek for
approximately 5630' to its junction with the centerline of

line of Fourche Bayou for approximately 4231' to its point of

ing containing 329.6 acres more or less, LESS AND EXCEPT that
part described as All of Blocks 1, 4 and 5 of Sander's Addition
to the City of Little Rock, in Pulaski County, Arkansas, containing
12.19 acres, leaving a total of 317.41 acres more or less.
AND
SOUTH TRACT: Part of the NW4, NE4: part of the NE-14; part of
the SW-4, NW4; and part of the "Suburban Village of Harrington"
a. subdivision lying in the NW-14, NW4 all being located in
Section 20, T -1 -N, R -11 -W, Pulaski County, Arkansas and being
more particularily described as follows:
Beginning at a point, said point being the intersection of
the centerline of Fourche Bayou and the north line of the NW-4,
NE-'4, Section 20, T -1 -N, R -11 -W, Pulaski County, Arkansas, said
point being on the present city limits of Little Rock, Arkansas
as established by Ordinance No. 12,406; thence southerly and
westerly along the meanders of the centerline of Fourche Bayou,
being the present city limits of Little Rock, Arkansas; to its
intersection with the west line of the NW-14, NE-14, Section 20,
T -1 -N, R -11 -W; thence north along the west line of the NW4,
SE4, Section 20 to its intersection with the north bank of
Fourche Bayou; thence in a generally southerly and westerly
direction along the meanders of the north bank of Fourche Bayou
as it crosses the NW-14, Section 20, T -1 -N, R -11 -W to its inter-
section with the west line of the SE-14, NW4, Section 20, T -1 -N,
R- 11 -W; the north along the west line of the SW-4, NW4 to the
northwest corner of the SW-14, NW-14, Section 20, T -1 -N, R -11 -W;
thence east along the north line of the SW-14, NW-14, Section 20,

way line of Jordan Street as recorded in the plat of the

24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 and 32 to the north east corner

east corner of lot 32 being on the west right of way line of
Stout Street in said Suburban Village of Harrington; thence
south along the west right of way line of Stout Street as
extended to its intersection with the north line of the SW4,

the NW-14, NW-4, Section 20, T -1 -N, R -11 -W; thence south along
the west line of the NE-14, N1,4 251.0'; thence 5880 15' E 187
feet; thence east 355 feet to a. point on the west line of
lot "38 ", Delta Acres Subdivision an unrecorded plat prepared
by Wm. W. McMahon dated January 3, 1962; thence southwesterly
along the west line of lot "38" and lot "37" a distance of 165
feet to the southwest corner of lot "37" of said Delta Acres
Subdivision; thence southeasterly along the south line of said
lot "37" 202.9 feet to the southeast corner of said lot "37 ";
thence in a northerly direction along the east line of lots

feet to the south right of way line of Frazier Pike; thence
east along the south right of way line to the north west corner

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
