3 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK., REV. CODE § 2-
4 243(a)(2) (1988) TO DECLARE GRANT COORDINATION TO BE A
5 PROFESSIONAL SERVICE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, from time to time it is necessary to employ outside personnel to coordinate, facilitate
8 and report on various grant projects in which the City is involved; and,
9 WHEREAS, it is appropriate to hire the most qualified individual to perform this task in order to
10 assure its proper completion and that all necessary reporting requirements are met; and,
11 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has the authority to declare a particular service a professional
12 service;
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
14 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
15 Section 1. Little Rock, Ark., Rev. Code § 2- 243(a)(2) (1988) is hereby amended to add the
16 following as a professional service: Grant Coordination.
17 Section 2. Severability. In the event any section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph, subparagraph,
18 item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
19 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining provisions of this
20 ordinance, as if such invalid or unconstitutional provision was not originally a part of this ordinance.
21 Section 3. Repealer. All ordinances, resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with this
22 ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
