RESOLUTION NO. 1028.
111hereas, the State Board of Health, acting upon request
of Surgeon- General Blue, has issued orders providing for a strict
quarantine to prevent the spread of the epidemic of Spanish In-

fluenza, and
Whereas, it 11as been deemed expedient for thin purpose
to close temporarily all schools, churches, theatres and places
of amusement, also the assemblages of citizens be prohibited in
public meetings, department stores, lodges, on the streets and
elsewhere, until the abatement of the epidemic, Therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of Little Rock approves the
action of the State Roard of Health as a necessary health and
war measure, and pledges the active support of its police and

health departments in the enforcement of the terms and provisions
of said orders of the State Board, and to the end that the epi-
demic be checked at the earliest possible moment, urges all
citizens to co- operate with the health authorities by observing
carefully all rules and regulations promulgate by them.
