IBE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF Tk[E CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
That,wnereas a petition has been filed by the local
chapter of the Red Cross for permission to use the platform here-
tofore erected in the Liberty Loan Campaign, at the intersection
of Fifth and thin Streets, for the Red Cross Campaign during the
week of May 20th to 27th, 1918, said petition for the use of said
platform at said intersection of Fifth and ;,lain Streets is hereby
granted, with the express understanding that within forty -eight
hours after the close of said campaign said platform shall be torn

down and moved away, without expense to the City of Little Kock,
And whereas obstructions of this nature tend to seriously
embarrass traffic at said street intersection,
Therefore,Be it Resolved that, on account of the volume
of traffic moving along both of said streets at said intersection,
from and after the expiration of the period above mentioned, no
autnority, for any purposes, shall be granted to place any ob-
structions whatever at the intersection of said streets which in
any way tend to embarrass the moving of traffic at or near the
intersection of said streets.
