WHEREAS, Our City and State have lost one of its most
valuable citizens in the death of the late Mrs. Harry Howard
Foster; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Foster has done more for the art of music
in Little Rock than perhaps any other resident ever has don
in its history; she was always ready with her purse , her
talent , her cooperation in movements for the furtherance of
the art she loved so well; and
WHEREAS, It was mainly through her efforts that the Band
Shell in the City Park was erected;
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved that the Band Shell in the
City Park be designated "The Foster Banc Shell" in recognition
of her untiring efforts and unselfish service given to the
community.
