RESOLUTION NO. 1206
WHEREAS, an Allwise Providence has called to her
eternal and well- earned reward Mrs. M. A. Gay, the beloved
Mother of our fellow alderman George R. Gay, who passed away
August 1, 1925, at Ironton, Missouri, at the ripe age of 54
years; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
That we extend to Alderman George R. Gay and his
family our sincere sympathy in the loss they have sustained.
May the long and beautiful life of this beloved mother and
grandmother ever be a precious memory to each of them, and they
be comforted by the thought that she is now enjoying those
rewards promised to the faithful by Him who doeth all things
well.
BE IT FURT�-R SOLVED, That the City Clerk be
instructed to spread these resolutions upon the records of
the Council, and that he transmit a copy, under seal of the
City, to Alderman Gay and family.
