;IHERE&S, Act 136 of the Forty -sixth General Assembly of the State
of &rkansas provides that the governing body of any city may provide
for the experimental use of voting machines in the holding of an
election without a formal adoption thereof and that said use of such
voting machines at said election shall be valid, and,
INHIMEAS, the Democratic Central Committee of the City of Little
Rock has duly passed a resolution favoring the use of such voting
machines in the next City Primary to be held November 26, 1928.
11017, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK:
That the Lemocratic Central `'ommittee of the City of Little Rock
be and the same is hereby authorized and directed to provide for
the experimental use of voting machines, as authorized in Act 136 of
the "Acts of 6rkansas.' 1927, in such precincts in the City of Little
Rock as the said `%entral `'omnittee deems advisable, in the holding
of the primary election on _November 26, 1928, provided that the
use of such machines will be without cost or obligation
upon the part of the City of Little Rock.
