In the death of Herman Kahn on March 23, 1929, there was removed fro,L our midst an outstanding citizen, one who for more than 50 years had been prominently identified with the business life of Little Rook. Coming to Little Rook as a youth, he saw our City grow from a population of a few thousand to its present rank, contributing to its growth by the erection of a number of handsome business structures, and an active participation in the commercial life of the City. He also served the City as Alderman from the Fourth hard, 1491 to 1895, and as a member of the board of Public Affairs from 1896 to 1908. And in reliioue and fraternal organizations ank. benevolent enterprises he was active, and liberal in his o© tributione. In his going our City loses a citizen of sustained faith in its future.
