RSOLUTION NO. 1222.
Mrs. Virginia Seybold Hamilton, for many years an
honored and respected resident of the city of Little Rock, the
mother of Mrs. John P. Baird, has taken that journey which sooner
or later all must travel, passing away- February 2, 1929, at the
age of 81 years.
Nothing is more touching and sorrowful than the death of
the young--the strong. But , really, ina sense, in this life, as we
know it, there is something expected and tender in the serene death
of the aged. Having lived the allotted span of life, when they have
performed their duties nobly and beautifully, as had Mrs. Hamilton,
when the sun of life touches the horizon, when twilight falls, death
comes like a strain of music, for the day was long and the road
weary . Mrs. Hamilton had reached the zenith of life and was peering
over the top, and the great Father of us all beckoned her to join the
•loved ones gone on before. Now, therefore, be it

it further
