WHEREA3% the City of Little Rock has executed a lease to the
Athletic Association of Little Rock, Arkansas, or property now occupied
by it which is recorded in the record book entitled "Leases and Con-
tracts" of the City of Little Rock on page 14; and, i.
ViTI EAS, the lease was extended in 1908 for ninety -nine
years as recorded in the above record book; and,
',',IMEAS, the �_thletic Association has executed a mortgage
upon its said lease and property, the balance of said mortgage now be-
ing ,;:2,000.00; and,
IMEREAS, the Athletic Association desires to make further
improvements on its property to the amount of X2,000.00 and to make an
extension of the mortgage now existing; NUS, THIREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTL.; ROCK:
That said Athletic Association of the City of Little Rock be,
and the same hereby is authorized and permitted to execute a mortgage
upon its said lase and property and assign said lease to secure the
payment of %4,000.00, or so much thereof as rray be necessary, in order
to cover the extension of the present mortgage and to na,, -e improvements
on the property; that the execution: of said mortgage and assignment of
said lease shall not constitute a breach of any of the terms of said
lease, and insofar as this one mortgage and assignment, or any action
that mwy be taken thereunder, is concerned, this is a waiver of the
terms and restrictions of said lease.
