RESOLUTION NCB. 1244 .
7HEHEAS, Alderman C. C. Conner, who has faithfully
served the Eighth !hard during the past year, has been called by
death; and
7- HEREAS, the statutes of the State of Arkansas
Drovide that when a vacancy occurs in the office of alderman the
same shall be filled by a. special election: Now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COU_,CIL OF TF1, CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
That the office of alderman of the Eighth Ward
for the aforesaid unexpired term be and is hereby declared
vacant;
That to fill said vacancy a special election
shall be ordered, at the regular polling places in the various
wards of the City of Little Rock, on the 7th day of April, 1931;
That due notice of said election shall be given by
proclamation, issued under the hands of the Mayor and the City
Clerk, and published in some daily newspaper in the City of
Little Rock. Said proclamation shall be made at least ten
days prior to the holding of said election and the said election
shall "be held in conformity ivith the general laws of the State,
as same may be applicable thereto.
