WHEREAS/the Cit ., of Little Rock will be honored by a visit on
December 13th, 17t-_, and 18th, 1931, by the Rev. William Ashley Sunday,
of Winona Lake, Indiana, affectionately known througJout the world as
Billy Sunday and,
NH 2EkSIa very remarkable career of unselfish service to
humanity no7; stands as a living memor`al to Billy Sunday and is deserving
of reco,�,.nition by every community throughout our ration; and,
NHDREtic� there now exists in the City of Little Rock an urgent
need for funds for the relief of unem-oloyed citizens during the winter
months and Billy Sunday has graciously tendered his services on the
above named dates to deliver three religious lectures at the Little
Rock Y-igh school riving the entire proceedsi with the exception of
expenses to the f"md being rz= ised for -Lme=loyment relief and,
NIDREIAS/the City of Little Rock should officially bestow rec-
ognition to such an outstanding individual effort n, our behalf; therefore,

adoption of this resolution? confer Woon and wake Rev. 7illiam Ashley
Sunday an Honorary Citizen of the City of Little Rock as a token of our
