&MREA,S, Firemen and Policemen of the city of Little
Rock are working for a nominal salary and have accepted cuts
in salaries when it was necessary to keep the city's expen-
ditures within the revenue and,
WHEREAS, Sam P. Hallum, a faithful member of the Police
Department for nearly ten years is now and has been sick for
several weeks and has had expenses incidental thereto,and will
probably not be able to return to work for a period of sixty
or ninety days,
THEREFORE, be it resolved that he be granted a leave of
absence for ninety days, or until he recovers if before that
time, with pay and that full pay be granted from the time of
inception of illness and that the Mayor and City Clerk be di-
rected to draw the City's warrant for the usual monthly salary.
