?;'riER'AS in view of the financail condit_ ons whic'_a have existed for
the past two years and in further consideration of the fact that the
Governor of Arkansas vetoed an appropriation made by the 1931 General Assem-
bly for the benefit of the 1931 and 1932 State Fairs, and in response to a
request made by the Board of Directors of the State Fair Association of
Arkansas, now therefore,
BE IT REVOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, that the
City Council does hereby agree that with the amendments hereinafter set
forth, the contract made between the City of Little Rock and the State Fair
Association of Arkansas as ~Set forth in Ordinance No. 3708 shall be renewed
for the remainder of the original twenty -five (25)Tear period
and extended/within thirty days after the adjournment of the 1933 session
of the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas, provided that by that time
the Fair Association shall present satisfactory evidence to the City
Council that it <riill hold a fair during the year 1933.
The amendments and exceptions to be included in said renewal
are as f ollo!,ls:
1. The Association shall have no control or jurisdiction
over tale following portions of Fair Park, to -wit:
tie grounds now occupied by the P:tunicipal Zoo; the
Municipal Golf Course; that portion of the Park now
used by the Little Rock Baseball Association; that
portion of the Park now occupied by the cattle and poultry
barns, which barns lie east of the present Tfuni.cipal
Zoo; that portion of Fair Park adjacent to and upon
whiciz the present main office building of the Asso-
ciation is located.
2. Section 6 of Ordinance No. 3708 shall be amended by
placing under the control and jurisdiction of the
City of Little Rock all concessions and rentals
accruing in Fair Park except during the !week in !which
the Fair shall be held and all such rentals or
revenues shall be paid to the City of Little Rock.
3. Ordinance ITo. 3708 shall be further amended by
striking out and cancelling all of the provisions
of Section 12 thereof and placing the property and
premises therein mentioned under the complete
control and management of the City of Little Rock.
