3 A RESOLUTION TO AWARD A CONTRACT FOR ARCH STREET
4 DRAINAGE REPAIR; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

6 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for Arch Street Drain Repair Bid No. 2012 -229; and
7 Harper Construction, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting specifications in the
8 amount of Eighty -Six Thousand, Five Hundred Sixty -One Dollars and 75/100 ($86,561.75), (Seventy -
9 Eight Thousand, Six Hundred Ninety -Two Dollars and 501100 ($78,692.50), plus 10% contingencies);
10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
11 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
12 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Harper
13 Construction, Inc., for Arch Street Drainage Repairs, in the amount of $86,561.75, ($78,692.50 plus 10%
14 contingencies).
15 Section 2. Funding for this project is available from a FEMA Disaster Recovery Grant with local
16 match from Street Fund.
17 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
18 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
19 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
20 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
21 resolution.
22 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
23 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
24 Section 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
