RESOLUTION NO. 13,499
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
INTO A CONTRACT WITH TRUCK CENTERS OF ARKANSAS TO
PURCHASE TWO (2), TWENTY -FIVE (25)- CUBIC -YARDS
AUTOMATED REAR- LOADING REFUSE TRUCKS FOR THE FLEET
SERVICES DEPARTMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF TWO HUNDRED
SEVENTY -SIX THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED NINETY -SIX DOLLARS
($276,496.00); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Fleet Services Department needs to purchase two (2), twenty -five (25) cubic -yards
automated rear - loading refuse trucks to replace older trucks with very high mileage and maintenance
expenses; and
WHEREAS, Bid #12233 was issued for the purchase of two (2), twenty -five (25) cubic -yards
automated rear- loading refuse trucks, and Truck Centers of Arkansas submitted the most responsive and
responsible bid in the total amount of Two Hundred Seventy -Six Thousand, Four Hundred Ninety -Six
Dollars ($276,496.00); and
WHEREAS, Bid #12233 further stipulates that the City of Little Rock reserves the right to add to the
number of units to be purchased from this bid for a period of one (1) -year after the bid opening;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
Truck Centers of Arkansas to purchase two (2), twenty -five (25)- cubic -yards automated rear - loading
refuse trucks in the total amount of Two Hundred Seventy -Six Thousand, Four Hundred Ninety -Six
Dollars ($276,496.00), with the stipulation that the City of Little Rock reserves the right to add to the
number of units to be purchased from this bid for a period of one (1) -year after the bid opening.
Section 2. Funds for the purchase of this unit are allocated in the 2011 Short-Term Financing
account.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent

with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
