AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION TO
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, OF
CERTAIN LANDS, WHICH LAND IS CONTIGUOUS
TO THE PRESENT CITY LIMITS, AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, upon the Petition of Weingarten Realty,
Inc., and after due notice of a hearing on said Petition,
which notice was published for the time and in the manner
prescribed by law, the County Court of Pulaski County,
Arkansas, did on June 29, 1981, enter its Order annexing the
area more specifically described in Section 1 hereof to the
City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, more than thirty days have elapsed
within which any interested person could institute pro-
ceedings in the Circuit Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas,
to prevent said annexation, and there appeared no protestants
to this annexation; and
WHEREAS, the area hereinafter particularly described
in Section I hereof is contiguous to and adjoins the existing
City Limits of the City of Little Rock, and all proceedings
prerequisite to the annexation of said area have been con-
ducted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, it is now desirable that said area, as
hereinafter specifically described in Section I, be annexed
to the City of Little Rock;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION I. That the following described territory
in Pulaski County, Arkansas, to wit:
Part of the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Sec-
tion 31, Township 1 North, Range 12 West
in Pulaski County, Arkansas being more
particularly described as follows: Be-
ginning at a point on the east right of
way line of Geyer Springs Road which is
50.01 East of and 175.0' North of the
southwest corner of said Section 31,
said point being the southwest corner of
said Lot "5" on the Geyer Springs Road
right of way line; thence North along
the West line of said Lot "5" for 554.3'
to the northwest corner of said Lot "5 ",
said corner being on the South line of S
& T Subdivision an addition to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, filed in Plat
Book 38 at Page 93, Pulaski County Court-
house, Little Rock, Arkansas; thence N
89 142100 "E along the North line of said
Lot "5" and the South line of the said
S & T Subdivision for 294.94' to a point,
said point being the southeast corner of
the said S & T Subdivision; thence N00°
23129 "W along the East line of the said
S & T Subdivision and along said line ex-
tended for 230.88'; thence S89 149'59 "E
for 137.70'; thence S89 °51'44 "E for 452.
07'; thence S00 001149 "E for 236.99';
thence N88 013126 "W for 297.78' to the
northeast corner of Lot "51', Geyer Springs
Shopping Center Subdivision; thence con-
tinue along the boundary line of said
Lot "5" for the following courses and
distances; thence S00 °09'00 "E for 183.90'
to a point, said point being on the arc
of a curve; thence in a westerly and
southerly direction along the arc of a
curve to the left having a radius of 50.

bearing of S20 037'00 "W; thence in an
easterly and southerly direction along
the arc of a curve to the right having a
radius of 25.00' for a chord length of
20.40' on a bearing of S24 008'00 "E;

00 "W for 347.80'; thence North for 135.

the point of beginning containing 10.91

cent streets and other public rights of
ways.
be and the same is hereby accepted as annexed to, and is
hereby made a part of the incorporated area of the City of
Little Rock.
SECTION II. It is hereby ascertained and declared
that the lands above described and hereby annexed are being
devoted strictly to urban uses; that there are valuable
improvements to be made thereon, and that said lands have
been and are being platted and are being developed in
accordance with the Ordinances and regulations of the City
of Little Rock, and that in order to secure the benefits to
be derived from compliance with the Ordinances and Regulations
of the City concerning development of the above described
lands, it is necessary that the said lands be immediately
annexed. It is, therefore, declared that an emergency
exists, and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation

of public peace, health and safety of the area shall be in
full force and take effect immediately on and after its
passage.
