3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH LANDERS DODGE JEEP, IN THE
5 AMOUNT OF TWENTY -FIVE THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED TWENTY -
6 ONE DOLLARS ($25,221.00), FOR THE PURCHASE OF VEHICLES
7 FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT, UTILIZING THE
8 ARKANSAS STATE PURCHASING CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER
9 PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department is in need of four (4) trucks to replace older units
12 which have extremely high mileage and maintenance; and
13 WHEREAS, by utilizing the Arkansas State Purchasing Contract, the City Fleet Services can
14 purchase one (1) Dodge Durango SUV for Twenty-Five Thousand, Two Hundred Twenty-One Dollars
15 ($25,221.00), and three (3) Dodge Ram 1500 pickup trucks for Twenty-One Thousand, Eight Hundred
16 Twenty-Five Dollars ($21,825.00) each, for a total of Ninety Thousand, Six Hundred Ninety-Six Dollars
17 ($90,696.00);
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
21 Landers Dodge Jeep for the purchase of one (1) Dodge Durango SUV, and three (3) Dodge Ram 1500
22 Pickup trucks, utilizing the Arkansas State Contract, for the total amount of Ninety Thousand, Six
23 Hundred Ninety-Six Dollars ($90,696.00).
24 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the 2012 Fire Replacement Fund.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
31 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
