3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH M & A SUPPLY COMPANY FOR THE
5 PURCHASE OF TWENTY -FOUR (24) HVAC SYSTEMS; AND FOR
6 OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, Bid #11254 was issued for the purchase of twenty-four (24) energy efficient HVAC
9 systems to replace some old, less efficient equipment; and,
10 WHEREAS, the most responsible and responsive bid for such purchase was received from M & A
11 Supply Company, in the amount of Ninety-Five Thousand, Five Hundred Forty Dollars ($95,540.00)
12 plus tax, plus 10% contingency, for a total of One Hundred Five Thousand, Ninety-Four Dollars
13 ($105,095.00) plus tax ;
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
15 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with M & A Supply
17 company for the purchase of twenty-four (24) energy efficient HVAC systems, in the amount of Ninety-
18 Five Thousand, Five Hundred Forty Dollars ($95,540.00) plus tax, plus 10% contingency, for a total of
19 One Hundred Five Thousand, Ninety-Four Dollars ($105,095.00) plus tax.
20 Section 2. Funding for this purchase will be from Account 4270129- G030132R, contingent upon
21 approval of use of remaining Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) funds.
22 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
23 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
24 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
