3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO AN ANNUAL PURCHASING CONTRACT FOR FUEL WITH MID -
5 SOUTH SALES FOR THE PURCHASE OF SMALLER FUEL
6 DELIVERIES, AND WITH LASHER OIL COMPANY FOR BULK FUEL
7 DELIVERIES FOR FLEET SERVICES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, an invitation to bid was issued for an annual purchasing contract to provide fuel for
10 Fleet Services; and
11 WHEREAS, Mid -South Sales was the lowest qualified bidder to provide smaller fuel purchases with
12 delivery via bob - truck, and LaSher Oil was the lowest qualified bidder to provide bulk fuel purchases;
13 and
14 WHEREAS, the total amount for the annual purchasing contract for fuel will be approximately $3
15 Million annually;
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a purchase
19 contract with Mid -South Sales for the purchase of smaller fuel deliveries via bob - truck, and with LaSher
20 Oil for the purchase of bulk fuel deliveries, in an amount of approximately $3 Million Dollars Annually.
21 Section 2. This Annual Purchase Order will be for one (1) -year, with an option to renew each year
22 for an additional two (2) years.
23 Section 3. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the 2012 Fleet Fuel Budget.
24 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
30 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
