3 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE SUBMISSION OF THE 2012 ANNUAL
4 ACTION PLAN FOR CDBG, HOME AND HOPWA FUNDS; TO
5 AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT THE 2012 ANNUAL
6 ACTION PLAN FOR CONSIDERATION BY THE UNITED STATES
7 DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING & URBAN DEVELOPMENT; AND FOR
8 OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, the City has access to Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME and
11 HOPWA funds on an annual basis, and
12 WHEREAS, the use of these monies mandates that an action plan be submitted to the United States
13 Department of Housing & Urban Development by November 15, 2011, in accordance with Title I of the
14 Cranston - Gonzalez National Affordable Housing Act of 1990, and
15 WHEREAS, after extensive public discussion and citizen participation, including neighborhood
16 meetings, and a public hearing, a plan has been developed for submission;
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to submit the 2012 Annual Action Plan for CDBG,
20 HOME and HOPWA Funds to the United States Department of Housing & Urban Development, by
21 November 15, 2011, in accordance with the provisions of the Cranston - Gonzalez National Affordable
22 Housing Act of 1990.
23 Section 2. The projected uses of these funds were approved by adoption of Little Rock, Ark.
24 Resolution No. 13,369 (September 20, 2011).
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
31 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
