3 A RESOLUTION TO TRANSFER CITY OF LITTLE ROCK LAND BANK
4 PROPERTY TO ARKANSAS BAPTIST COLLEGE BY QUITCLAIM
5 DEED FOR REDEVELOPMENT; TO BE USED FOR NEIGHBORHOOD
6 REVITALIZATION PROGRAMS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has stated as one of its goals a desire to provide for
9 neighborhood revitalization, and has taken special efforts to accomplish this goal through its use of
10 various City and Federal funds, and in affirmative actions such as the creation of a Land Bank
11 Commission; and,
12 WHEREAS, in order to accomplish this goal the City's Land Bank has acquired numerous properties
13 in areas that are appropriate for revitalization; and,
14 WHEREAS, in an effort to maximize the City's revitalization efforts, the Land Bank wishes to
15 convey underutilized parcels for development; and,
16 WHEREAS, on July 7, 2010, the City's Land Bank accepted the donation of the property located at
17 1805 Wolfe Street, Little Rock, Arkansas; and,
18 WHEREAS, the parcel is a 1,472 square -foot weed lot with no structure; and,
19 WHEREAS, Arkansas Baptist College has indicated a desire to acquire the property at 1805 Wolfe
20 Street as part of the Arkansas Baptist College Improvement Plan to develop a parking lot for a future
21 dormitory; and,
22 WHEREAS, Arkansas Baptist College has offered to purchase the property for $1,300.00; and,
23 WHEREAS, Arkansas Baptist College will use private and capital funds to purchase and develop the
24 property; and,
25 WHEREAS, the City's Land Bank wishes to transfer the property to Arkansas Baptist College by
26 quitclaim deed for use in its neighborhood revitalization efforts; and,
27 WHEREAS, State law requires that the City convey property by resolution adopted by the Board of
28 Directors;
29 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
30 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
31 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby adopts this resolution to authorize the City's Land Bank to
32 transfer to Arkansas Baptist College by quitclaim deed the property located at 1805 Wolfe Street for use
33 in its neighborhood revitalization efforts.

Section 2. The property shall be used for a public purpose, specifically for neighborhood
revitalization programs.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
effect a if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
ordinance.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same that are inconsistent with
the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
