13365I RESOLUTION NO. 13,365 2 3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF A CONSTRUCTION 4 CONTRACT TO TOWNSHIP BUILDERS, INC., FOR THE 9TH STREET 5 AT BOND STREET INTERSECTION /SIGNALIZATION PROJECT 6 (PHASE 2 OF THE 9TH STREET EXTENSION); AND FOR OTHER 7 PURPOSES 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 WHEREAS, it is desirable to complete Phase 2 of the four lane arterial 9th Street from Bond Street to the east and northeast connecting with 6th Street, linking the Interstate 30 corridor to the area north of the Little Rock National Airport to provide for the transportation and economic development needs of the area; and WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for the 9th Street at Bond Street Intersection/Signalization Project, Bid No. 2011 -225: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Township Builders Inc., for construction of 9th Street at Bond Street Intersection/Signalization Project, Bid No. 2011 -225 Section 2. Funding for the project is available from grants from the Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration, the Arkansas Department of Economic Development and funds returned to the City by the Little Rock National Airport Commission. Amount authorized for construction: $242,271.60 ($201,893.00 plus 20% contingencies). Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution. Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
