133481 RESOLUTION NO. 13,348 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF NINETY -SIX (96)- 5 GALLON SOLID WASTE CONTAINERS AND ISSUE AN ANNUAL 6 PURCHASE ORDER FOR ADDITIONAL CARTS, AS NEEDED; AND 7 FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS, Solid Waste Division of the Public Works Department must periodically purchase new 10 solid waste containers for delivery to new customers, replace stolen carts, replace damaged carts and meet 11 the demand for additional carts; and 12 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids for the purchase of the containers, and the lowest 13 responsible and responsive bid meeting minimum specifications for Bid #C1005 was received from 14 Cascade Engineering, in the amount of Forty-Three Dollars ($43.00) per container; 15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 16 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 17 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract for the 18 purchase of ninety-six (96)- gallon Solid Waste Containers from Cascade Engineering, for the amount of 19 Forty-Three Dollars ($43.00) per container, and to issue an annual purchase order for additional carts as 20 needed. 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from Account #603110- 60170. Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution. Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
