13321I ►J, RESOLUTION NO. 13,321 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO 4 CONTRACTS WITH MINISTRY OF INTERCESSION, INC., TO PROVIDE 5 YOUTH INITIATIVE PROGRAMS (YIP) IN THE SOUTHWEST LITTLE 6 ROCK TARGETED NEIGHBORHOOD; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, intervention, and 9 youth development programs and services to enhance public safety and community- building, and 10 WHEREAS, the City advertised Bid No. 11203R to solicit proposals for Youth Initiative 11 Programs in the southwest targeted neighborhood for Little Rock youth, and 12 WHEREAS, a review committee met and reviewed the proposals submitted on April 14, 2011, 13 determined the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, and recommends the Ministry of Intercession, 14 Inc., for contract awards. 15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE 16 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 17 Section 1. Contracts for YIP -Youth Initiative Programs are hereby awarded to the Ministry 18 of Intercession, Inc. for the following contracts: 19 Male Youth Initiative Program (YIP) $ 49,000 20 Female Youth Initiative Program (YIP) 49,000 21 Hispanic Male Youth Initiative Program (YIP) 49,000 22 Total $147,000 23 Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contracts with this organization 24 providing YIP -Youth Initiative Programs for the southwest targeted neighborhood. 25 Section 3. Funds for these programs are from FUTURE -Little Rock tax revenue specified 26 for prevention, intervention, and treatment programs, account number S 15T903. 27 Section 4. The term of the contracts is from May 2011 to December 31, 2011, and may be 28 extended for one (1) additional contract term based upon appropriation, satisfactory performance and 29 mutual agreement of the parties. 30 Section 5. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be 31 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this 32 resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or 33 unconstitutional was not originally a part of this resolution. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with any provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
