13266RESOLUTION NO. 13,266 %J 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXTEND THE 4 CONTRACTS WITH SIX (6) ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE YOUTH 5 INITIATIVE PROGRAMS (YIP) IN TARGETED NEIGHBORHOODS; AND 6 FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, intervention, and youth 9 development programs and services to enhance public safety and community- building, and 10 WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark. Res. 13,086 (February 16, 2010) provided for two (2) additional 11 contract terms, based on their performance and Little Rock Board of Directors appropriations. 12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 13 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 14 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the contracts with the following organizations to 15 provide gang intervention services for youth for an additional year: 16 Central, Central -East Neighborhood 17 Little Rock Boys /Girls Clubs- Thrasher (Female) 55,970 18 Brothers United (Male) 53,086 19 Midtown Neighborhood 20 BCD -Better Community Developers (Male) 59,457 21 BCD -Better Community Developers (Female) 59,344 22 Southwest Neighborhood 23 Greater Second Care (Male) 44,308 24 Promiseland CDC (Male) 48,000 25 Promiseland CDC (Female) 48,000 26 West Neighborhood 27 Hunter United Methodist Church (Male) 57,887 28 Hunter United Methodist Church (Female) 57,887 29 30 Total $483,939 31 Section 2. The term of this contract extension shall be from January 1, 2011, to December 31, 32 2011. 33 Section 3. Funds for these programs are from FUTURE -Little Rock tax revenue specified for 34 prevention, intervention, and treatment programs, account number S 15T903. [PAGE 1 OF 21 I Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be 2 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this 3 resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or 4 unconstitutional was not originally a part of this resolution. 5 Section 5. Repealer.
