3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO CONTRACTS WITH FLEMING ELECTRIC, INC., AND STALEY
5 ELECTRIC, LLC, TO PROVIDE OVERFLOW ELECTRICAL REPAIRS;
6 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, an invitation to bid on an annual contract was issued to provide plumbers to
9 perform overflow electrical repairs on an hourly basis when the City Staff cannot respond in a
10 timely manner, and Fleming Electric, Inc., submitted the most responsible and responsive bid to
11 be the primary contractor, and Staley Electric, LLC, submitted the second lowest qualifying bid
12 to be the secondary contractor, for this purpose;
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
14 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
15 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into contracts
16 with Fleming Electric, Inc., as primary contractor, and Staley Electric, LLC, as secondary
17 contractor, to provide overflow electrical services as required, on an hourly basis as set forth in
18 the awarded bids.
19 Section 2. These contracts are for a term of one (1) -year and may be extended for four (4)
20 additional one (1) -year periods upon agreement by the parties.
21 Section 3. Funds are available from Building Services Operating Budget, Acct. 104010-
22 61010.
23 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
24 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
25 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall
26 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
27 unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
28 Section 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
29 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
30 inconsistency.
