A RESOLUTION
TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER

INTO A CONTRACT
WITH XCON INCORPORATION TO
5
CONSTRUCT
RESTROOMS AT CRUMP PARK; AND FOR OTHER

PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, the developed
area around Crump Park experienced serious damage from a
9
1999 tornado; and
10
WHEREAS, staff has
worked with area residents to help them to restore and improve their
11
community; and
12
WHEREAS, an Urban
Parks and Recreation Recovery Grant was obtained to allow
13
improvements in the form
of baseball and football fields, a pavilion and play area and restrooms
14
are needed for the convenience
of the increased park users participating in the lengthy activities;
15
and
16
WHEREAS, Bid #0269
was advertised, and on October 14, 2010, it was determined that J-
17
Con Incorporation had submitted
the most responsive and responsible bid in the amount of One
18
Hundred Seventy -Four Thousand,
Seventy Dollars ($174,070.00).

NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
20
THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:

Section 1. The Cit
i Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with J -Con
22
Incorporation for the construction
of restrooms in Crump Park, in an amount not to exceed One
23
Hundred Seventy -Four Thousand,
Seventy Dollars ($174,070.00).

Section 2. The funds
for the contract are available from 2009 Park Bonds Refunding.

Section 3. Severa
ility. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
26
phrase, or word of this resolution
is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
27
declaration or adjudication
shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall
28
remain in full force
nd effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
29
unconstitutional were nc
t originally a part of the resolution.
30
Section 4. Repealer.
All ordinances, resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with
31
this resolution are hereby
repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
