RESOLUTION NO. 13,225
A RESOLUTION TO EXTEND UNTIL JANUARY 31, 2011, THE
MORATORIUM ON THE APPROVAL OF APPLICATIONS FOR A SPECIAL
EVENTS CENTER; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 13,096 (March 2, 2010), and Little Rock,
Ark., Resolution No. 13,183 (August 17, 2010), the City has approved a moratorium on the issuance of
permits for a special event center until the City can create a discrete designation of "special events
center," to be included in the Little Rock Code of Ordinances; and,
WHEREAS, the current moratorium is set to expire on or about November 2, 2010, and additional
work is needed before the Planning Commission's recommendation is brought forward for consideration
by the Board of Directors;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The moratorium on approval of applications for a business that will be a special event
center is hereby extended to, and including, January 31, 2011.
Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
ordinance.
Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
