3 A RESOLUTION TO SET NOVEMBER 9, 2010, AS THE DATE OF A
4 PUBLIC HEARING FOR AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH THE
5 FOREMAN LAKE IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 711 -09 AND TO
6 APPOINT COMMISSIONERS THEREFORE; AND FOR OTHER
7 PURPOSES.
8 WHEREAS, A majority of residents surrounding Foreman Lake in the Leawood Addition of
9 the City of Little Rock desire to create a Municipal Improvement District for the purposes of
10 improvements to Foreman Lake and have filed a petition to form such district with the City
11 Clerk; and
12 WHEREAS, such purposes include, but are not limited to, improvements to its dam,
13 spillway, reservoir, and sidewalks, walkways, paths, bridges, culverts, wildlife, recreational
14 areas, facilities and improvements, all in the City of Little Rock; and
15 WHEREAS, the residents request that the Ordinance creating the District and appointing
16 Commissioners be place on the City Board's agenda for hearing November 9, 2010.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
18 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The hearing on said ordinance shall be held at a meeting of the Board of Directors
20 of the City of Little Rock in the Board Room of City Hall as four o'clock on the 91h day of
21 November, 2010.
22 Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing in the manner
23 prescribed by law by publication once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks in a newspaper
24 published in Pulaski County, Arkansas, and having a general circulation in the City of Little
25 Rock, Arkansas.
