3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
4 AN ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH SUPERIOR PROTECTION SERVICES, INC.,
5 TO PROVIDE SECURITY GUARD SERVICES AT VARIOUS CITY
6 LOCATIONS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, pursuant to Bid #C 1013, Superior Protection Services, Inc., submitted the most
9 responsible and responsive bid for an annual contract to provide security guard services at
10 various City locations, at an estimated annual cost of Two Hundred Two Thousand, Five
11 Hundred Dollars ($202,500.00); and
12 WHEREAS, the initial term of the contract will be one (I) -year and may be extended for
13 two (2) additional one (I) -year periods, if approved by the City Manager;
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
15 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into an
17 annual contract with Superior Protection Services, Inc., to provide security guard services at
18 various city locations, at an annual cost of Two Hundred Two Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars
19 ($202,500.00), with possible renewals of two (2) additional one (1) -year periods, if approved by
20 the City Manager.
21 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available from various departmental budgets.
22 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
23 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
24 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall
25 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
26 unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
27 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
28 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
29 inconsistency.
