RESOLUTION NO. 13,193
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
INTO AN ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH MILLSAPS STONE COMPANY
FOR THE PURCHASE AND DELIVERY OF NATURAL STONE FOR
PARK IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE PARKS DEPARTMENT; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, natural stone is necessary in improvement projects for the various parks within the City,
and
WHEREAS, Bid No. C 10 15 was issued to solicit and obtain competitive bids for an annual contract
for the purchase and delivery of boulders to the parks as part of the improvements; and
WHEREAS, Millsaps Stone Company submitted the most responsible and responsive bid in the
amount of One Hundred Ten Dollars ($110.00), per ton, for a total amount not to exceed One Hundred
Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00), and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into an annual
contract with Millsaps Stone Company to provide and deliver natural boulders at a cost of One Hundred
Ten Dollars ($110.00) per ton, for a total amount not to exceed One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($150,000.00).
Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available from the refinancing of the 2009 Parks and
Recreation Revenue Bonds and Park Operations funds.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
