RESOLUTION NO. 13,181
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
CONTRACT WITH HIPSKIND EXCAVATING, INC., TO DREDGE A POND AS
PART OF IMPROVEMENTS IN WAR MEMORIAL PARK; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a committee supported by the Board of Directors and Little Rock Parks and Recreation
staff have identified improvements to be made to War Memorial Park; and
WHEREAS, as a result of the committee's recommendations, two (2) holes at the golf course have
been relocated, which has required that the pond be dredged to address requirements of the Arkansas De-
partment of Environmental Quality; and
WHEREAS, a pre - mandatory bid meeting was required and only one contractor, Hipskind Excavat-
ing, Inc., was present and submitted a responsive bid;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Hipskind Excavating,
Inc., for the dredging of the pond, in an amount not to exceed Seventy -Five Thousand Dollars
($75,000.00).
Section 2. The funds for the contract are available from park bonds refinancing.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adju-
dication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and ef-
feet as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All ordinances, resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with this
resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
