2 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
3 AN AGREEMENT WITH THE LITTLE ROCK MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
4 COMMISSION TO PROVIDE LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES AT THE
5 LITTLE ROCK NATIONAL AIRPORT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, the City and the Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission (the "Commission ") desire
8 to continue an arrangement for the City to provide law enforcement services at the Little Rock National
9 Airport ( "Airport"), and
10 WHEREAS, the Commission wishes to utilize the Little Rock Police Department ( "LRPD ") to
11 facilitate the Commission's compliance with 49 CFR Transportation Security Regulation Part 1542 and 14
12 CPR Federal Aviation Regulation Part 139.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
14 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
15 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an Agreement with the Commission
16 whereby the City will provide law enforcement services at the Airport. The form of the Agreement shall
17 be approved by the City Attorney.
18 Section 2. The initial term of the Agreement shall be for a one (1) -year period and, absent earlier
19 termination, shall automatically renew for one (1) additional term of one (1) -year.
20 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
21 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
22 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
23 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
24 resolution.
25 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
26 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
