4 EXECUTE DOCUMENTS NEEDED TO CONVEY A TWENTY (20) -FOOT
5 WIDE STRIP OF FORMER ALLEY LYING WITHIN BLOCK 17 BETWEEN
6 EAST 16TH AND EAST 17TH STREETS, ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
7 TO STEPHEN L. LAFRANCE PHARMACY, INC.; AND FOR OTHER
8 PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, on April 20, 2010, pursuant to Little Rock Ordinance No. 20,249, the City- vacated and
11 abandoned a twenty (20) -foot wide alley in Block 17, Original City of Little Rock, and
12 WHEREAS, Stephen L. LaFrance Pharmacy, Inc., the owner of property abutting the former alley in
13 Block 17, Original City of Little Rock, will be developing the entire block for a drug store and providing
14 drainage improvements to the area worth over $10,000, and
15 WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City that the alley property be deeded to the owner of the
16 remainder of Block 17, subject to the reservation by the City of public utility and drainage easements.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute, in a form approved by the
20 City Attorney, a quitclaim deed and other documents as required to convey, subject to the reservation of
21 public utility and drainage easements, to Stephen L. LaFrance Pharmacy, Inc. certain property described
22 as follows:
23 A twenty (20) -foot wide strip of land, formerly an alley, lying in Block 17, Original City
24 of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, located between East 16th Street and East 17th
25 Street and which was closed and vacated by City of Little Rock Ordinance No. 20,249
26 (April 20, 2010), which was recorded on April 22, 2010, in the Pulaski County Circuit
27 and County Clerk records as instrument number 2010022684.
28 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
32 resolution
33 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are _inconsistent
34 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
