3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH SCOTT SERVICE COMPANY, INC., TO
5 INSTALL TWENTY -EIGHT (28) HVAC SYSTEMS FOR THE CITY
6 HALL ANNEX, THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY BUILDING AND
7 THE JIM DAILEY FITNESS AND AQUATIC CENTER; AND FOR
8 OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, twenty -eight (28) City provided HVAC systems need to be installed for the
11 City Hall Annex, the Information Technology Building, and the Jim Dailey Fitness and Aquatic
12 Center, in order to provide energy efficient HVAC equipment to replace less efficient units, and
13 WHEREAS, bids were received for the installation of twenty -eight (28) City - provided
14 HVAC systems, and the most responsible and responsive bid was received from Scott Service
15 Company, Inc., in the amount of One Hundred Ninety -Six Thousand, One Hundred Eighty -Three
16 Dollars ($196,183.00) plus tax;
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
18 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Scott Service
20 Company, Inc., to install twenty -eight (28) Chillers City - provided HVAC systems, in the amount
21 of One Hundred Ninety -Six Thousand, One Hundred Eighty -Three Dollars ($196,183.00) plus
22 tax, plus an additional ten (10) percent for contingencies, for a total of Two Hundred Fifteen
23 Thousand, Eight Hundred One Dollars ($215,801.00) available, if required.
24 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available from the Energy Efficiency and
25 Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Account #270129- G030132R.
26 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
27 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
28 inconsistency.
29 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
30 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
31 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall

remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
