3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH SCOTT SERVICE COMPANY, INC., TO
5 INSTALL TWO (2) CITY - PROVIDED CHILLERS, ONE FOR THE
6 LITTLE ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT AND ONE FOR THE LITTLE
7 ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, two (2) City - provided Chillers need to be installed, one for the Little Rock
10 Fire Department and one for the Little Rock Police Department, in order to provide energy
11 efficient HVAC equipment to replace less efficient units, and
12 WHEREAS, bids were received for the installation of two (2) Chillers, and the most
13 responsible and responsive bid was received from Scott Service Company, Inc., in the amount of
14 Sixty Thousand, Fifty -One Dollars plus tax;
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
16 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Scott Service
18 Company, Inc., to install two (2) City - provided Chillers, in the amount of Sixty Thousand, Fifty -
19 one Dollars ($60,051.00, plus tax, plus an additional ten (10) percent for contingencies, for a
20 total of Sixty -Six Thousand, Fifty -One Dollars ($66,051.00) available, if required.
21 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available from the Energy Efficiency and
22 Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Account #270129- G030132R.
23 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
24 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
25 inconsistency.
26 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
27 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
28 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall
29 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
30 unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
