RESOLUTION NO. 13,141
3 A RESOLUTION TO EXTEND THE CURRENT CONTRACT WITH
4 RAMSEY, KRUG, FARRELL AND LENSING TO PROVIDE THIRD
5 PARTY ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE
6 ROCK'S SELF - FUNDED WORKERS' COMPENSATION PROGRAM;
7 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the current provider for third party administrative services for the City of Little,
10 of Little Rock's self - funded workers' compensation program, the Risk Management Resources
11 Division of Ramsey, Krug, Farrell and Lensing ( "Ramsey "), has submitted the low cost proposal
12 to continue to provide those services, and
13 WHEREAS, the proposed renewal offers a two (2) -year rate guarantee with an annual fee
14 less than the current price term, and
15 WHEREAS, during the most recent Request for Proposal review, it was determined that
16 Ramsay submitted the most attractive proposal, and
17 WHEREAS, based on the excellent service provided by Ramsey and the pricing noted
18 above, the Human Resources Department has recommended that the contract with Ramsey be
19 extended for a two -year period along with the additional renewal options allowed under current
20 state purchasing laws at the conclusion of the two -year extension, and
21 WHEREAS, funding for these services is included in the Workers' Compensation budget
22 line item for 2010.
23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
24 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
25 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the current contract with the Risk
26 Management Resources Division of Ramsey, Krug, Farrell and Lensing to provide third party
27 administrative services for the City's self - funded workers' compensation program effective July
28 1, 2010.
29 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
30 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such

I declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall
2 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
3 unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution.
4 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
5 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
6 inconsistency.
