WHEREAS, two (2) Chillers are needed for Central Fire and the Little Rock Police Department Headquarters, in order to provide energy efficient equipment to replace old less efficient units, and WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of two (2) Chillers, and the most responsible and responsive bid was received from Carrier Building Systems and Services, in the amount of One Hundred Eight Thousand, Seven Hundred One Dollars ($108,701.00) plus tax; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Carrier Building Systems and Services for the purchase of two (2) Chillers, in the amount of One Hundred Eight Thousand, Seven Hundred One Dollars ($108,701.00). Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available from the Energy Efficiency and Conversation Block Grant (EECBG) Account #270129- G030132R. Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
