RESOLUTION NO. 13,127
3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK., RESOLUTION NO.
4 12,703 (MAY 20, 2008) TO APPOINT JIM RICE TO THE RIVER MARKET
5 DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, the City created the River Market Design Review Committee as set forth in Little Rock,
8 Ark., Rev. Code § 36 -367 (1988)1; and,
9 WHEREAS, pursuant to subsection (a)(3) of the ordinance, one member of the Committee is to be
10 "[a] representative from the entity hired by the city to manage the River Market"; and,
11 WHEREAS, since the Little Rock Conventions and Visitors Bureau, on behalf of the Little Rock
12 Advertising and Promotion Commission, is now the manager of the River Market, and it is appropriate to
13 select this representative from the staff of the Bureau;
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City appoints Jim Rice as the representative of the manager of the River Market to
17 serve on the River Market Design Review Committee:
18 (a) Mr. Rice is to being service immediately to fill the balance of the term of Ms. Shannon
19 Jeffery -Light whose term otherwise expires on August 8, 2010, and to take office at the first
20 meeting following this appointment; and,
21 (b) Upon the expiration of this partial term, Mr. Rice is hereby appointed to serve a full term of
22 three (3) years on the Committee;
23 Section 2. The City expresses its appreciation to Mr. Shannon Jeffery -Light for her service on the
24 River Market Design Review Committee.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adju-

dication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and ef-
fect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All ordinances, resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with this or-
dinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
