3 A RESOLUTION TO SET APRIL 6, 2010, AS THE DATE OF
4 HEARING ON THE PETITION TO ABANDON CERTAIN UTILITY
5 EASEMENTS WITHIN THE FORMER UNIVERSITY MALL SITE
6 WHICH WERE GRANTED TO ARKANSAS POWER & LIGHT
7 (ENTERGY CORPORATION), IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
8 ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Clerk requesting that the Board of
11 Directors vacate and abandon certain utility easements within the former University Mall site
12 which were granted to Arkansas Power & Light (Entergy Corporation), pursuant to its general
13 police power authority under Ark. Code Ann. §14 -54 -104.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
15 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The hearing on the ordinance to abandon the above - mentioned utility easements
17 shall be held at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock in the Board Room
18 of City Hall at six o'clock on the 6th day of April, 2010.
19 Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing in the manner
20 prescribed by law by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper
21 published in Pulaski County, Arkansas, and having a general circulation in the City of Little
22 Rock.
