3 A RESOLUTION TO CHANGE THE NAME OF THAT PORTION OF
4 COMMERCE STREET, FROM PRESIDENT CLINTON AVENUE TO APITOL
5 AVENUE, TO RIVER MARKET AVENUE (G -25 -206); AND FOR OTHER
6 PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the Downtown Little Rock Partnership and owners of abutting properties filed an
9 application to change the name of that portion of Commerce Street, from President Clinton Avenue to
10 Capitol Avenue, to River Market Avenue; and
11 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Planning Commission, at its January 28, 2010 meeting, voted to
12 recommend approval of the requested street name change by a vote of 9 ayes, 0 noes and 2 absent.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
14 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
15 Section 1. The name of that portion of Commerce Street, from President Clinton Avenue to Capitol
16 Avenue, is hereby changed to River Market Avenue.
17 Section 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and the City
18 Manager is hereby directed to notify all departments of said change.
