RESOLUTION NO. 13,086
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
CONTRACTS WITH SEVEN (7) ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE YOUTH
INITIATIVE PROGRAMS (YIP) IN TARGETED NEIGHBORHOODS; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, intervention,
and y uth development programs and services to enhance public safety and community- building,
and
WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Bid No. 0201 to solicit proposals for Youth
Initia ive Programs in targeted neighbors for Little Rock youth, and
WHEREAS, a review committee met and reviewed the proposals submitted on January
27, 2010, determined the lowest responsible and responsive bidders, and recommends the
organizations listed below for contract awards.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. Contracts for YIP -Youth Initiative Programs are hereby awarded to the

Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contracts with these
organizations providing YIP -Youth Initiative Programs for targeted neighborhoods.
Section 3. Funds for these programs are from FUTURE -Little Rock tax revenue
specified for prevention, intervention, and treatment programs, account number 515814.
Section 4. The term of the contract is from March 1, 2010, to December 31, 2010, and
may be extended for two (2) additional contract terms upon appropriation, satisfactory
performance and mutual agreement of the parties.
Section 5. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or
adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the
remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion
so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of this resolution.
Section 6. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in
conflict with any provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
