RESOLUTION NO. 13,082A
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE LITTLE ROCK CITY
MANAGER TO APPLY FOR A GRANT TO THE ARKANSAS
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION ON BEHALF OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has determined that the infrastructure improvements along Fair
Park Boulevard meets eligibility requirements necessary to apply for a grant under the 209 GIF Regional
Development Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, City Staff has developed plans for the round -a -bout at the intersection of Fair Park
Boulevard and Zoo Drive, and
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Board of Directors recognizes the need for the project, concurs its
importance, and supports the aforementioned grant application in its effort to proceed with the same; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to submit a grant application in the amount of $200,000 to
the Arkansas Economic Development Commission - 2009 General Improvement Fund Allocations for
Regional Economic Development.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to provide up to $80,000 of in -kind match to offset the
total cost of the project and up to $82,000 in cash match to complete the requirements of the grant.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force.
