3 A RESOLUTION TO AWARD A CONTRACT FOR BROADBAND
4 SERVICES TO ARISTOTLE.NET INC., PURSUANT TO REQUEST FOR
5 QUALIFICATION #9245; TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
6 EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH THE COMPANY; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the City issued a request for qualification for broadband services; and
10 WHEREAS, Aristotle.Net Inc. was the sole bidder and deemed qualified firm to perform the
11 broadband services requested; and
12 WHEREAS, the services include the provision of technical assistance to the City in order
13 to more fully compete for federal grants for broadband services; and
14 WHEREAS, a contract has been negotiated with the firm for a fee of one dollar ($1.00) plus
15 allowed costs from prospective broadband services grants applied for and awarded with the
16 assistance of Aristotle.Net Inc.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
18 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
19 Section l: A contract is hereby awarded to Aristotle.Net Inc. pursuant to RFQ # 9245 for
20 broadband services. The City Manager is hereby authorized to sign the contract negotiated by
21 the City Attorney's office.
22 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
23 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
24 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall
25 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
26 unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
27 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
28 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
29 inconsistency.
