RESOLUTION NO. 13,068
A RESOLUTION TO CHANGE THE NAME OF WEST TAYLOR LOOP ROAD,
SOUTH FROM CANTRELL ROAD TO THE CURVE, TO LAMARCHE DRIVE
(G -25 -204); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock Department of Public Works filed an application to change the
name of West Taylor Road, south from Cantrell Road to the curve, to LaMarche Drive to address public
safety concerns and to provide for consistency in new and existing street names; and
WHEREAS, notice of the proposed street name change was sent to all owners of properties abutting
the street and to the Coalition of West Little Rock Neighborhoods and the Westchester - Heatherbrae
Neighborhood Association; and
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Planning Commission, at its December 17, 2009 meeting, voted to
recommend approval of the street name change by a vote of 8 ayes, 0 noes, 1 absent and 2 open positions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
Section 1. The name of West Taylor Loop Road, south from Cantrell Road to the curve, is hereby
changed to LaMarche Drive.
Section 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and the City
Manager is hereby directed to notify all departments of said change.
