7�e,4sKO bRDINANCE TO ABANDON THE REMAINING ONE -HALF
BLOCK OF THE SIXTY (60) -FOOT WIDE WEST 17TH STREET
RIGHT -OF -WAY LOCATED IMMEDIATELY WEST OF DR.
MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR., DRIVE, IN THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
9 WHEREAS, a request was made to vacate and abandon the remaining one -half block of the
10 sixty (60) -foot wide West 17th Street right -of -way located immediately west of Dr. Martin Luther
11 King, Jr., Drive, North of Lot 12, Block 38, Centennial Addition to the City of Little Rock,
12 Arkansas, pursuant to the City's general police power authority under Ark. Code Ann. § 14 -54-
13 104; and
14 WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the abandoning of this public right -of -way will
15 not have an adverse impact on the adjacent property owners nor the local traffic, and therefore,
16 the street rights -of -way abandoned by this ordinance are no longer needed for corporate
17 purposes, except as otherwise noted below;
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
19 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby releases, vacates, and abandons the remaining
21 one -half block of the sixty (60) -foot wide West 17th Street right -of -way located immediately
22 west of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Drive, North of Lot 12, Block 38, Centennial Addition to the
23 City of Little Rock, in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
24 Section 2. The City specifically reserves the public utility and drainage easements.
25 Section 3. A copy of this ordinance, duly certified by the City Clerk, shall be filed in the
26 real estate records of the recorder of the Circuit Clerk in ex officio recorder of Pulaski County,
27 Arkansas.
28 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
29 phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
30 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall
31 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged to be invalid or

2 Section 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same that are
3 inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such
4 inconsistency.
